Having given the breakthrough to the biggest bands in India, Livewire 2015 brings the up-and-coming bands the perfect opportunity to make their mark. Visiting six cities, we assure to get the best music talent from all across India.This is the perfect opportunity for semi-professional bands to break free of the rut and make it big in the music industry. We have a lot in store for the bands coming to Livewire this year in terms of recording deals and a lot of avenues that are instrumental for the success of bands to sustain themselves in the highly competitive market. The Journey to Mood Indigo 2015
1. Online Round - Selection by Judges. Top 10 Bands from each region are selected to perform at a gig in their respective regional chapters.

2. Regional Chapters - Gigs at the biggest music venues in a city nearby. Judges to shortlist maximum 3 bands from each region to travel to Mood Indigo, Mumbai.

3. Semi-Finals - At the inaugural day of Mood Indigo. The best three bands selected by prominent musicians in the Indian music industry proceed to the Livewire Finals.

4. The Final Showdown - The three finalists perform on Livewire Nite, in front of a crowd of 25,000 people.
1. The line-up of the band has to remain same throughout the contest.

2. A band playing a cover during the Regional Chapters, Semi Finals or Finals will be disqualified on the spot

3. Only English Original Compositions are allowed. Although, the band can play one instrumental original composition.Travel reimbursement policy will be valid only for the Finalists and might also be for the Semi-Finalists. This shall be conveyed to the bands after the regional round of eliminations.

4. The judges' decision shall be final and binding for all. No complaints or grievances regarding this will be attended to.

5. The decision of the organizers with respect to line-up is final and abiding.

6. Rights and indemnification: By entering Livewire and submitting recordings to Mood Indigo, all entrants release, hold harmless and indemnify Mood Indigo, their employees, agents, and affiliates against all first, second and third party claims arising from any song and/or recording submitted which violates any of the competition rules or is the result of any breach of any warranty, representation, covenant or agreement and from any and all liability for any injuries or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the competition. Mood Indigo is not responsible for late, lost, damaged or postage due entries or for any problems or delays arising from mail carrier, common carrier or courier failure or malfunction. Mood Indigo reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet the requirements herein outlined at any time.

7. The Mood Indigo 2015 team holds the right to change the rules at any moment of time.

8. Breach of any rules at any stage of the entire process will invite disqualification. No obscenities shall be tolerated.

About Mood Indigo:

Started in 1971 by a group of music enthusiasts, currently in its 45th edition, Mood Indigo or Mood-I as it is fondly called, IIT Bombay’s annual cultural festival is the largest college cultural festival in Asia. This year the extravaganza is scheduled on 18th to 21st December. Organised entirely by the students of IIT Bombay, sees more than 1 lakh visitors from 1500 plus colleges attending over 200 events in the campus during its 4 days.
